I have been imagining being transported into somewhere cooler. Europe has been constantly in my mind, particularly Warsaw, Poland. This postcard really makes me dreaming of walking holding hands with my love in the cobble-stoned streets of the Old Town. Him and I both love medieval architecture / places so being in this town for sure would be perfect for us. Well, it could have been any other 'colder than Manila weather European city/town' right now. But I've always wanted to see Poland for the admirable effort in reconstructing their old town after World War II. It speaks a lot about the people's regard for their history and keeping it alive for their future generations to see and experience.
I cannot afford a Warsaw visit any time soon. So since I'm almost nodding off here in front of my laptop, I'm running now to bed so my dreams can take me to Warsaw.
I wish all of you a fun closure for the week, or a quiet one for those who prefer it that way.

Oh, Sweetie! I'm so sorry you are stuck in the heat. We have some hot days in mid-July and August. I am not a fan of the heat either. I'm so glad you've joined us for Postcard Friendship Friday. I'm honored!
ReplyDeleteSo, try to get some rest and hang in there, dear. ((hugs)) I loved your description of walking hand in hand with your beloved.
Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!
You're welcome Beth! I love joining PFF.
DeleteI really can't wait for the date I fly to see my boyfriend. We've talked a lot about walking around holding each other's hand and it's a really romantic idea, I can't wait for it to become a reality again!
Wow, I feel a little like a slug as I haven't done much all day at all (well, I was shopping for a new car, which took an inordinate amount of time). Here it is a beautiful spring day and I was happy with the 20C temperature.
ReplyDeleteThe old town of Warsaw looks lovely in this card.
I hope you are feeling more rested by now, and possibly even cooler.
ReplyDeleteI love the card because street views, I think, give even more of the flavour of a place than a building on its own.
