Stamps: Ukraine Flora - Trees



The theme for Sunday Stamps this week is fruits and nuts.

Here are a few Ukraine stamps, counterclockwise:

50K - Horse Chestnut, issued on 3 Feb 2012

  2. We have walnuts falling from trees at the moment - it's fun watching the squirrels running around with them in their mouths. Not so much fun is when they fall on your head. Or beside your coffee cup!

  4. We get squirrels burying walnuts in our lawn although there is not a wlanut tree in the vicinity, Fine set.

  5. The walnuts in ourneighbpurhood are taken by jackdaws and wild rose-ringed parakeets (!) into higher trees or roofs, and from there thrown on the ground, in order to open them. Might indeed be dangerous, one nut fell, from 4 m height, less than two meters besides my head :-)
