Postcard sent to Eastbourne, England |
I caught myself in a surprise this morning. I was booking for a round-trip flight to my home country. And as everyone is probably aware (or unaware) of, when we're on a task -- there's also this endless internal chatter that we do with ourselves.
Then before I knew it, I was referring to Singapore as my second home. I think it's just timely now, being here for a year and a half. I had been thinking of being here for the interim but now I'm starting to actually build a life here.
I am eager and excited for the future; more interesting days are yet to come ;-)

ReplyDeleteHello Maria! Thank you for visiting my blog (which allowed me discover your lovely space :) I understand your quandary about calling a new place "home"... my family settled into Paris (my husband's homeland is France) about 16 months ago, and I still often feel like we're "moving in." All the best with building a life in Singapore! ...and hope you were able to pick up some flowers for yourself and your new home :)
ReplyDeleteHi Maria .. funnily enough that postcard arrived on my doorstep on Friday ... it does look an amazing city - and one I'd love to visit sometime ... also I see it's got a wheel - your Flyer ... I have yet to go on our London Eye - as our ferris wheel is called.
ReplyDeleteI see the Art Science Museum had an exhibition on some of Da Vinci's works ... I've just given a talk about him ... I could have used some of the material!!
Cheers and thanks for the postcard .. Hilary
