Postcards for the weekend 87: Festivals

Masskara Festival is an annual celebration in Bacolod City, Philippines. The place is dubbed as the "City of Smiles" hence the masks all come with smiling faces.

The festival is celebrated every October and held in as a fusion of a Mardi Gras and Oktoberfest fashion.

  1. It seems a very funny festival. I'm glad the masques show smiles... otherwise it would be a bit scaring!

  2. I was never a big fan of face masks... (Always seem a bit spooky to me, not knowing who's hiding behind them.) These are certainly colourful, though! I don't have a postcard post this week, as I can't think of any festival postcards not already shown on my blog before.
